T&G Building refurbishment begins
24 January 2017
An exciting milestone is celebrated this month as refurbishment works begin on the T&G Building.
Appointed building contractor, Built, will be conducting the extensive refurbishment of the T&G Building and managing the complex logistics of such a project, to ensure tenants and visitors are impacted as little as possible.
One of the biggest challenges will be the refurbishment of the atrium, which will see the existing glass façade removed, and a new one put in place across ten floors.
Works on Ramsden Place will also require a special focus, due to the size of this part of the project and the proximity to the car park, which will remain in operation throughout the construction period. As part of these works, a portion of the ground and first floors will be removed to make way for a triple-height entrance from Flinders Lane, making the Ramsden Place refurbishment one of the most significant changes to the building.
Throughout the year, Built will work to minimise impact to tenants, while maintaining thoroughfares and easy access to the building.
Expect to see the construction team from Built on-site from this week as they start to transform the entrance to the building.
