With Australia and the world watching obsessing over women’s soccer, in partnership with Nike, invited soccer fans to visit Melbourne’s iconic T&G Building to experience a celebration of soccer.
The T&G Building atrium has been taken over with an incredible five-storey visual installation of Nike’s ‘Forever and Today’ campaign heroing the Matildas. Visitors will also be able to browse and buy authentic vintage soccer shirts on Wednesday 2 August at a pop-up atrium market hosted by PFC Vintage.
Nike Pacific Global Places and Services, Michael Rowlands shares “As the biggest moment in World Football approaches, Nike is delighted to have collaborated with T&G and fellow building tenants to show our combined support for the Matildas as they attempt their greatest challenge of all. In the Atrium, you’ll now see an installation of Nike’s ‘Forever & today’ campaign, elevating the Matildas at scale.”
Signalling the strength of our relationships, working in partnership to activate shared spaces and create excitement within a building, Pembroke and Nike worked together to transform the T&G Building into a sporting utopia.
At Pembroke we know art inspires us, and we are celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 at our T&G Building, Melbourne with a powerful installation of images of Australian women and their stories.
In collaboration with Wellineux, this collection showcases the diversity of cultures that contribute to the intricate tapestry of Australian womanhood and pays homage to the extraordinary achievements of women in arts, science, activism, and innovation.
Each woman featured has made an indelible mark on Australian society, embodying dedication, transformation, resiliency and leadership.
We thank them for letting us share their stories and highlighting the impactful contributions they’ve made. May this display serve not only as a tribute to the incredible achievements of women throughout history but also inspire others to follow their dreams and make a positive impact on the world around them.
If you’re nearby, we hope you’ll come through to take in this exhibit and let it shape your mindset for your day.
At our iconic T&G Building in Melbourne, we are always committed to enhancing community, collaboration and connectivity. This month that value set is cast in a rainbow hue of colors through a Pride art installation that welcomes all people into our space at the Collins Street entrance.
We are aligned with our tenants at the T&G Building, believing that we must create inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected, and we hope this installation expresses that commitment.
Pembroke is in the business of placemaking, and we are dedicated to creating places where all people can be their authentic selves.
Pembroke is thrilled to have been a part of Melbourne’s ‘Now or Never’ festival in 2024, an immersive, collaborative celebration that brings together art, community and architecture throughout Melbourne’s city centre.
At our iconic @T&G Building we hosted an incredible art installation: TWIFSY (The World Is Fine, Save Yourself)’ by artist Peter Thiedeke.
Our atrium came alive with this technology-driven, idea-provoking art display which vividly projects the space where art and technology converge, a theme that’s so meaningful to Pembroke and our innovative and creative tenants.
Presented by Experimenta in partnership with the T&G Building for the City of Melbourne, TWIFSY explores the implications of our society transitioning toward an increasingly digitally-driven world. Made of modular, mixed-media panels, the incredible installation challenges us to embrace being an innovator with creative autonomy and view technology as friend not foe.
In our Pembroke properties, we always are delighted to bring together community, and in this instance, we provided a platform for artists to engage with the community through a series of lunchbox talks and a VIP ‘mixer with the artist’ event, where tenants and the wider community were invited to come and meet the artist of TWIFSY and enjoy live music and canapes.
The artist’s thought-provoking installation will remain in the atrium of the T&G until 20 September 2024. Stop by and see for yourself how it transforms and inspires from a variety of viewpoints.
As we reflect on last week’s Harmony Day 2024, we would like to thank our tenant community for organizing a thought-provoking culture and diversity panel discussion presented by Accenture Australia, Treasury Wine Estates, and Nike which was hosted in the atrium of our T&G building in Melbourne.
Harmony Week is a week dedicated to celebrating Australian multiculturalism, and Harmony Day on March 21st intentionally falls on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
Keynote speaker Mark C., Head of First Nations Programs and Community Impact at Collingwood Football Club, shared his inspiring journey and insights into Collingwood’s transformative “Do Better” report and DE&I initiatives, shedding light on the nuances of culture and identity within the workplace.
At Pembroke, we deeply value and celebrate cultural diversity. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the speakers and DEI leaders – Emma Gin, Andy Keith, Meera Srinivasan, Mayur Bhaskar and Mark C. Their candor encourages us to embrace conversations that may be uncomfortable but are very important as avenues leading to better understanding, empathy, and actionable allyship. As Mark C. aptly put it, it’s about “becoming an accomplice” in the pursuit of equality and justice.
Our commemorative celebrations of NAIDOC Week 2024 at T&G Building, Melbourne! It’s an important time, where we can come together and recognize the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We had the privilege of showcasing an Indigenous art exhibition which included a live art event where First Nations artist, Trevor Eastwood, showcased his incredible talent and cultural expression and invited the community to contribute on canvas.
In honour of this years’ theme Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud, we partnered with our tenant community to host an evening with energized performances in the atrium, including a silent auction of Trevor Eastwood‘s art. Auction proceeds were donated to BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation, an organization dedicated to empowering the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQ+SB community through innovation, inclusion, understanding and advocacy. It was inspiring to see firsthand how we can thread together values, art and community.
Special thanks to many, including Wurundjeri Elder Uncle Colin Hunter for his Welcome to Country, tenants Accenture, Treasury Wine Estates and Google for their support in bringing this event to life and Nike for donating specially designed commemorative NAIDOC Week football jerseys to the auction, delicious catering by Pawa Catering and Events and The Mulberry Group as well as the delightful performers, Djiri Djiri Aboriginal Women’s Dance Company and Cerulean Drag.
Our wonderful community raised over $1000.00 for this great cause at the event, and sold most of the artworks on display throughout the week as well. As they say, ‘it takes a village’!
When refurbishing the T&G Building, Pembroke looked to source an artist who could enrich all aspects of the building’s design — both old and new. New York artist Yolande Milan Batteau was commissioned to create a piece of art for the lobby area.
