The gates of Albert Park Lake track are open to the public from Thursday 23 March at 10:30am. The festivities begin straight away, Thursday through Sunday, with Shannons Historic Demonstration. The demonstration offers attendees an exceptional and enlightening opportunity to salute the classic historic racecars that have raced in the Australian Grand Prix for over 90 years. Wait for the end of the demonstration to get a quick photo with a remarkable collection of vehicles from at home and overseas.

If you’re an exotic car brand enthusiast, Shannons Australian GT is the event for you. With 35 GT3 cars featuring brands such as Ferrari, Bentley, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Lamborghini and McLaren, the event will create the largest field of Level 1 race cars in Australia, valued at over $30 million. If you miss the glamorous vehicles on the track, you can get up-close and personal with the cars at the Coates Hire Supercars Village.

Seeking more supercar excitement? The Pirelli Pit Stop Challenge allows fans to get in on the action as part of the F1 pit crew. If you’re looking for a challenge you can attempt to change the tyres of a replica F1 in record time. Some of Melbourne’s best food trucks, street art and live music will also be featured in the M-Lane if you need to catch a break from the thrills.

The 58-lap 2017 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix will take place at 4pm on Sunday, 26 March. Get there early and don’t miss the chance to satisfy your need for speed during a long weekend enriched with family-friendly thrills.
